First Rocks.

These are some of the first rocks I made, in preparation for the Port Orford Heads Lifeboat Station Diorama.  They are a mixture of plaster and charcoal-tinted grout.  India ink, diluted in 91% rubbing alcohol, is added in layers, and each is heat-treated with a heat gun.  Other airbrush colors and printing ink colors are added, also diluted.  The heat gun plays a crucial role in moving the color about the surface prior to settling.  The surface is Envirotex Lite epoxy and acrylics.
