1/48  "O" scale model of the Sikh Temple located at Mesachie Lake, Vancouver Is. Canada c.1940. For private client. The original location was in the Hillcrest Lumber Mill. Original structure no longer in existence, this model was made from a detailed study of available photos. Materials include wood (Port Orford Cedar and basswood), 3DP PLA, photosentive resin, and microscope cover slips for window glazing. This video explains the processes further. Upon request, the sawdust burner was included. This was only the first or perhaps second burner I had made, and it was a big one. See more burners.

Cape Blanco Lightstation
1/64 "S" scale, 4'x4'
The Cape Blanco Lightstation diorama includes the structures present on the grouds as they were circa 1909-1913. Digital copies of original architectural documents were studied to create 2D and 3D plans. Living quarters were constructed from basswood with PLA 3D printed parts such as window mullions. These were the first models we created using real glass from microscope cover slips. The lighthouse was 3D printed and coated with VersabondTM, a durable masonry compound with a plasticizer in it. I placed it on a microwave turntable to add "brick detail" with a fine comb whilst rotating. I have produced a video which further explains the construction process.
